Unfortunately the pic is a bit dark. I called it salt because of the ploughed fields effect and the encrouching white. It is an extension of the "crop circles" theme, the original of which I posted ages ago. I actually think it looks better with the defined shapes at the bottom (rotate 1/4 turn clockwise?). What do you reckon?

50x60 marri resin, enamel paint, bitumen.

I like it, it does remind me strongly of an airiel view of the salt lakes, & I agree that the 2 stronger shapes look better at the bottom.

I really like the whole right third along the side.

Am I right in thinking where the white is a little blown out in the top leftish area - this is from flash?? And if so - does the rest resemble the effect that is happening along the right side??

If so I love it - would love to see this on a HUUUUGE canvas Razz I just love these sorts of things on huge, enormous canvas' Smile

Hi Lisa, the right side is now the top. It is quite different from the rest of the canvas because there is a more distinct marbelling effect. The marbelling effect is always striking but I thought a bit much repeated over the whole canvas. It is worth some experimentation though. I was thinking with a yellow. Big would be excellent - if only I could sell one or two to fund some more canvases. I am seriously going to have to attend to my storage issues if I go big.

You are totally right about too much marbelling being repetitive Smile I didn't even think about that till you pointed it out!

So cheap as to be embarassing Stephan - $130. This neck of the woods is not art central and even less so - abstract art central. I have embarked on a mission to price low and get a few bucks together.
