Paramount Chief of Far North
CF Goldie 1870-1947
Oil on Canvas 1907
Was given to me by an Uncle. This is inscribed on the bottom in a gold coloured panel. Any ideas? Value?
Can the signature on there as well. |

PS, But there are a lot of forgeries or look a likes by the other CF Goldie |

Goldie's work can fetch quite high amounts at auction, though they aren't offered that frequently in Australia. Any of the major auction houses in Australia (including the one I work for) could give you an appriasal free of charge and let you know what the work would be likely the fetch. Good luck. |
