Foxxc'sBaby sorry to hear of your troubles with Smart Art Club , and I have to admit they can be a bit slack with deliver , yesterday I had to phone them to find where my roll of canvas had got to, it turned out the boss had been traveling around with it in the back of his car for four days, but at least I got it and it was $50 cheaper than anywhere else so i probably will persevere with them..but as I'm not that far from them I will probably pick up my next order, which would also bypass the delivery cost which to my annoyance they don't tell you in advance of debiting your bank card,,

Thanks for that, yes it has been quite a bother. At least you have the short distance as an advantage; I tried online because I'm out in the country lol. So it's very frustrating Sad As with them not mentioning the fee, I don't like that as well as almost all details are a bit hazy in my opinion...

Ahwell, lol.

Hi guys,

This is my first post here.

In the past I ignored Smart Art Club as I felt it was dodgy with the annual fee thingy and I thought it was a scam from Nigeria!

But, I was there 2 days ago and realised they no longer require the annual membership fee. And true anough, everything seems to be cheaper than any where else. In fact it was cheaper than my usual online place that I initially thought was the cheapest!

Without any hesitation I booked some orders. Within the same day, a woman rang and told me my orders are ready for pickup. I don't know about delivery experience, but mine seems to work out fine so far.

Yes I think the smart thing to do would be to stay away from the smart art club.
I have heard so many similar stories.
Having to pay an annual fee to buy goods in the first place is wrong as it makes you think...well I have to keep buying from them now or that annual fee I paid is wasted.
I have had reasonable success with The Art Shop.

Totally agree with the annual-fee idea, it's ridiculous! I hope there aren't many who will consider it! Especially as there are other, reasonably priced art stores out there who actually get their customer service standard at least at a respectable standard (oh and minus the fee).
Thanks for the reference for The Art Shop; will check them out Smile

Anyway I've definately learn't my lesson. Still sh*tted over the fact I had to pay a packaging&handling fee, and, "We use Australia Post & Fastaway Couriers for shipping, ensuring that your products arrive on time, and ready for immediate use." ....what a joke.

Seriously it is a joke as, this will not going to benefit anyone as, if you dont recieve what you want in time than it will definitely not done, the same situation is happened with me some months earlier and this really disolved me.

So, I can very well understand this problem.

Thanks!! Smile

I've ordered from Smart art club (on 3 separate occasions) this year.
Had no problems with them & delivery (to me in North-east Victoria).
Prompt and friendly service. I recommend them.

I checked out this site last year. Didn't like how you have to pay before you've even bought anything. And apparently you're not paying for very good service from what I've read here. I have bought two rather large orders from http://www.artstore.net.au in the past few months & have had no problems. Granted a few of the things I ordered they had to get in & took a bit longer to arrive, but all round very happy with them.
