Just introducing myself Smile

Im in Perth WA, and I work mostly in acrylics and mixed media.
Im working towards my first exhibition which is planned for the end of the year with 3 other Aboriginal female artists. We are all very excited about that.

Ive been selling my artwork for about 7 years now, mostly from my shed at home through word of mouth but recently started selling online. Most of my artwork has been purchased by local people (Perth WA) and a few peices have made their way to SA and NSW through online selling.

My aim this year is to learn more about online sales and the business side of art.

Um....I keep chickens, I homeschool my kid, I love a laugh....what else...I dunno ask me questions Laughing

Great to find an aussie art site Smile

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
I looked at your blog and artwork and I thought it was really good.
I noticed that you used to live in Broome?

I exhibit in Broome and I'm going back this June for a holiday and to attend a group show that I'm in.

Your photos of Broome looked a little familiar..are they near Kooljaman?
It's great to have you on the forum.

Cheers
Daniel.

I exhibit at Monsoon next to Matso's, and I alway's try to catch a few fish but I don't think it's that easy in the dry season.

I like fly fishing but don't seem to catch any fish that way.
I'm sure that if I went out with a local guide then I'd get amongst them.
Maybe if I make a few serious sales this time I'll hire a guide with a boat. Very Happy

hey outofthebox I love your stuff!!

I am quite attracted to contemporary Indigenous Art. Have you seen the stuff coming out of Lockhart River? (Samantha Hobson, Rosella Namok et al.) I see it all as a great new generation of artists coming out of Australian Indigenous Art and your stuff is amazing Smile
