Yes it's been a while since I posted any new work.
It's because I have been working on this monster.....and now it's done I feel as if I have just completed a marathon.
C&C welcome

Very nice - just a bit surprised to see your full name on this forum. I thought it was something you didn't like.

Thanks Wendy, Stefan, Jo and Clive.
The ferry docks at Bundeena every hour.
The first is at 6.00 am and then every hour after that until 7.00pm
So there is scope to do a whole series, and that's what I have almost completed.
I still have the 5.00 and 7.00 pm ferries to paint.
I don't paint them every hour apart but every two hours as the light doesn't change enough in only one hour.
All of the previous ferry paintings have been 60cm by 90cm
But this last one was a commission and they wanted the larger size.
I also took out the rock in the left foreground to change things a bit.

Here's all of the others.

All I can say is WOW!!!

So good, I love the colours in the water, and how they change throughout the day!
Absolutely stunning!! All of them!

This is another one wich was commissioned.
IThis one was painted on oil primed linen. It was a lot easier to paint in all of the detail on such a nice surface.
This is the one that you might be thinking of Clive.

Your work is great. You really know how to paint water! Are these for an exhibition?

ver;y nice, the pier really picks up the strong light of the day. Love all the ferry photos, you must be intimate with the boat by now Wink
