Here's an idea for last minute Christmas shopping - buy local art as presents - that way you help the low cost countries (and the Global Warming, as a result), as most materials artists use are being sourced from low cost countries, as you would do anyhow by buying stuff that 60% of people hate, and help the local economy by helping starving artists. People will keep their presents, just in case the artist becomes famous overnight, very unlikely for mass produced stuff.
You also avoid the stress usually associated with Christmas shopping.
