I love your lion, but the falling star seems to me a bit stark... sort of like a big drip hurtling towards the lions eye, the moon is a little dominant also, but the sky and shading in the sky is great.
I find pencils and layering the colours difficult, so I think you have done a great job!!

(Please dont be offended by my comments, it is just my opinion and it matters very little!) Smile

I agree love the lion, well done I would love to do one of these types of drawings as I love drawings on black paper.

I also agree about the shooting star looks a little out of place, possibly it looks like there is a kink in it althought it could be the photo that makes it look that way

Great work! Did it take long? (I know it says quick sketch, but 'quick' is always relative Very Happy )

Thanks for your comments altheau & the catsgrin Smile
no hard feelings....isn't that why we post here? to take the good with the bad?? Very Happy

I do agree with the comments regarding the shooting star..it didn''t turn out the way I thought ,the blending ended up too thick and the moon could''ve been darker, The "shine ' near the moon is glare from the light coming through the window... however in my defence Wink I havent used prismacolors before, they are very creamy in texture and are surprisingly harder to blend than other pencils i have used.

It took me about an hour to do (off and on)

an HOUR, god it would have taken me at least twice that in graphite, let alone in colour

I still like it =] damn good job with a new material, it is always hard to get things they way you want with something new =]
