I've painted this area a number of times now. There's always a new view or some difference introduced by the light or the sea which makes for a new, interesting challenge.
This piece shows the large offshore rock which is a feature of the area, and the rock which produces the most spectacular spray patterns on this stretch of coast.
Redgate is a very popular tourist area, and has great beach to the left which is good for surfing and swimming.
This is on canvas, 70cm x 140cm or 28" x 56".

Beauiful Marty, the sort of picture I could sit & gaze at for hours, can even hear the waves crashing.

Its certainly honest to Redgate. I recognised that view immediately. There is often a pretty nasty rip right of picture.

Hi, Wendy, thanks very much.

Hi, Pearl, many thanks, nice to hear from you.

Hi, Marri, thanks, it's a well known spot, that's for sure!

Nice painting Marty - unusual rock formations on that beach.

Good one Marty.
I really like the compositional elements of the dark rock and the splash next to it. It really works well.

Hi, Kim, thanks very much.

Hi, Daniel, thanks, I sweated on the composition for this one, what to include, what to leave out, what to place where. Glad it works!
