Superb high quality etching press for sale.
This was a "Melbourne Etching Supplies, 18F Heavy Duty School and artist press" bought in the mid eighties, received little use and was very well looked after.

Description:

18F Heavy Duty School and artist press with 460mm wide rollers on 30mm axles being 110mm diameter. Gearing effect is achieved by a smaller bottom roller.
Bed length is 920mm with a thickness of 12mm together with thick steel rollers mean nearly 25mm (1") of solid steel is beneath an etching plate when being printed to ensure strong even blacks, especially in difficult to print aquatints.
Side plates are a heavy 12mm thick steel and upper roll is sprung to enable plate litho and relief printing operations.
Heavy duty dust sealed pre-greased for life bearings of the 'self align' type have been used throughout.

Wooden table shown included. Inspection welcome by prior arrangement.

I might be able to arrange delivery somewhere between Leura and Melbourne metro.

I have a small etching press and etching supplies also available.
