Finally finished this painting for my goddaughters birthday 30/10/2009.
It's going on a very dark purple wall so it should have maximum impact.
Glitter and metallics don't show very well in photo..
Too many hours....doesnt matter, done for love!
Airbrushed Acyrlics, Chroma Acrylics, Matisse Derivan Metallics, Glitter and glitter lettering on strtched canvas |

Thanks sunfire
I can't wait to see the look on her face! her mum told me she loves Unicorns after she saw another drawing of one I did, she initially asked me to do a wall mural but I talked her out of it as Chloe is 8 I was worried that she may outgrow the mural and want to paint over it eventually. I suggested canvas instead. She is extremely happy with the painting.
Nothing makes me happier than to see the smile on the recipients face! |

Probably a good idea at that age, & if she doesn't grow out of it, then she can always take the painting with her when she leaves home, maybe even keep it for her own children later.
& I agree, it is a wonderful feeling when you see a happy smile on the recipients face. |

Well it was Chloe's birthday on Friday...went to her house and gave her the painting. She was soooo excited and happy it looks stunning against the dark purple wall. Didnt take my camera
The adults were gobsmacked, some of the people there didn't know I could draw , the questions came thick and fast as usual, can you do this for me can you do that? We'll see if any of those enquiries come through
My mission is complete...one very happy little girl who is prod enough to take the painting to school for show & tell |

Congratulations, that's fantastic, what a wonderful feeling, thanks for sharing.
& I love seeing people gobsmacked, especially the ones who have treated you as an idiot in the past.
Hopefully it will lead to some more commissions for you, good luck. |

Thanks Pearl...
It is kinda amusing to see how people suddenly treat you differently when they realise that you can be of use to them!! |
