Here's a wire sculpture that I did back in 2002 when I was at TAFE.
It's made out of wire that's the same thickness as coat hanger wire.
I bought it rolled and used the nice curves to advantage.
It was soldered together and was a heap of fun to make.
This is one reason why I think TAFE art education is so good.
I would never have thought of or even attempted something like this if it wasn't for Art School.

thanks for looking. Very Happy

The wire sculpture great devilbliss. I love the cello design in the middle of it.

What was the course you did at tafe? As I am interested in learning the soldering skills. What stuff do you need to solder small pieces of wire together and where is the best place to get the ingredients?

Love the sculpture. This is something I've been looking at getting into for a while ... Just been waiting to sort the shed out the back into something like an artists retreat and then I'll be set.

Sorry that I hadn't replied to this earlier Nichelle.
To soler wire you need a soldering iron, a large one will work better than a smaller one.
Some solder which comes in small rolls.
Some soldering flux and a small inexpensive brush to apply the flux.
It's all reasonably cheap and available at any hardware store.
