Wow they are fantastic...what is your creative process? I can see it is layers, and do you make your own stencils? THis is very much my thing, and I think these would difinately sell.
Good Work |

Hey Chrissy,
I LOVE to work with textures and i also like to create many layers of paint, sometimes 5 to 10 layers. Ill make a layer then add something else e.g another medium then sand it back, add more, sand it back and so forth until i feel happy that i have created enough 'HISTORY' to work with.
Im from Innisfail originally and i see ur living in Cairns! I actually lived in Cairns for 8 years before going to Townsville to do an Art Degree. I have heard the Tafe course that u are doing is very good? If ur into textures and layering i would suggest if u can, try and get into one of Steve Roysters workshops. He is an Amerian Artist who now lives in Kuranda but usually runs workshops from time to time, he is a great teacher and i would have to say really helped me take my work to the next level and i only attended 2 of his workshops, just some food for thought. Also another few artists who give great workshops- Rhonda Payne and Ian Smith. If u do attend any of their workshops tell them i said HI!
Im actually coming to cairns next thursday and i will be in Australia for 7 weeks seeing friends and family as most are in the cairns area. Ill be attending a friends solo exhibition at the Cairns Regional Gallery...a lady from Innisfail actually (here is the link to her work just in case u want to see what she does- http://www.visualartist.info/visualartist/artist/?artistId=1345)
I have included some links to some photos of my work up close so that you can see the textures and layers. I am thinking of running a textural workshop while i am in cairns.

What a beautiful range of works ! Such richness of colour, textures and pattern.
I hope you don't mind me asking the following questions...
I see you use Arches rough 300gsm.(one of my own favourite supports) What mediums are you using? Acrylics? inks?...also What sizes?

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for the message. To answer your questions i am using a variety of mediums. At the moment i am working with spray paint, Acrylic, Contact Glue, bitumen and crackle medium.
The sizes vary from 20cmX20cm to 50cmX50cm mostly..there are some larger works around 1 metre also.

Here is one of my new business cards...On my way through the international airport i stopped at the newsagents and bought this 'to do list' booklet ( u can write your shopping list on it) on one side it has a picture of a $100 Australian and on other side it has where u can write a list. So i basically made a stencil of my image and transfered the image several times over the note pad page and on the reverse i added my web address. It can be easily stored in the wallet too
