I was up to my armpits in water when I took the reference photo for this painting

Daniel, have you considered seeking help with this obsession of yours for painting stunning beach scenes? You're welcome to come along to our local art group - I'm sure a few weeks of drawing geraniums in black plastic pots will help you return to normal mediocity.

Great job, Daniel! Love those far dunes.
You are painting large pieces these days. Any particular reason?
The galleries I deal with are keen to get large pieces, but transport becomes an issue.

I send them rolled in a tube and have them stretched in Broome.
It costs me about $150 for a painting of this size to be stretched but it's worth it.
There seems to be an endless supply of people that want large paintings like this, and I like painting large works more than the smaller ones.
It just seems easier.
Next will be the one metre by three metre size. Liquid gold.  |

| Now this is more like it. Superb work, great reference photo. You are the master of water without any doubt. Checking my lotto numbers tonight. I'll even pay for it to be stretched in Adelaide. |

Hmmm...that might be stretching things a bit too far.
Seriously though, thanks for the feedback but there are others that paint this subject far better than I could ever hope to.
The real masters of water in my opinion are the polynesians.
Captain Cook wasn't bad either considering he suffered badly from sea sickness and a lack of vitamin C. The Polynesians won in the end though...or did they?

Of course, we had it tough. We have to live in our old washing machine tub after we were evicted from the shoebox.
