Hi..to me it looks very like a Victor Hay..saw that as soon as I looked at the picture and then the signature seems to confirm it.
He was an Adelaide artist I believe..maybe the Bonython Galleries in Adelaide may be able to help?

Hi ellle, Just found your query on Art Forum. Your painting is definitely a Victor Hay (or Hai). We have a painting by him of a scene from Uraidla in the Adelaide Hills and the signature is identical. It was originally purchased as a gift for my husband's first wife who died in 1988. Unfortuantely my husband now has Alzheimer's disease and cannot remember when he purchased it but I would reckon about 30 years ago. We treasure it as we originally came from Adelaide and now live in Atherton in tropical north Queensland so it is a fond memory of 'home'. Kind regards, Margaret |
