Graphite on Arches watercolour paper, smooth, 185 gsm. 34 x 25 cm.

I have never done a portrait of my own animals. I think it's because I know them so many different ways...which way to portray them?? Your pencil work is very well done Pearl

Posted: Fri Aug 07, 2009 10:37 am    Post subject: Re - My Dog Just an idea, but as a fun thing, if you do another portrait of her, try a light to mid grey paper and use black and white pencils, it would eliminate outlines and give a totally different effect.

Thanks Heidi, thats a great idea, I had planned to do some more of her, so that would be interesting to try, I may give it a go.

You must have a lot better eyesight than I have. I don't feel that it's to good at times, my arms aren't long enough, I do have to wear glasses for doing this work.
