This one I have done for myself, it's the last dog I had,"Tammy", a liver Dalmation.
taken me a while to get around to it so thought I would share it here.
Graphite on Arches watercolour paper, smooth, 185 gsm. 34 x 25 cm.

Such a happy portrait. I have never done a portrait of my own animals. I think it's because I know them so many different ways...which way to portray them?? Your pencil work is very well done Pearl Smile

Thanks Kim & Heidi, she was very happy because my son was standing in front of her unwrapping a chocolate & she was trying very hard to get his attention, by sitting nicely & giving a huge grin. Very Happy

Just an idea, but as a fun thing, if you do another portrait of her, try a light to mid grey paper and use black and white pencils, it would eliminate outlines and give a totally different effect.

A beautiful portrait and a well captured expression.

Thanks Clive, was hoping to get your opinion on it.
The white whiskers where done by very carfully working around them, they are just the paper.
