Hi, I'm new here so I'm not sure if this is where I should post, sorry if it's not!
I live in Brisbane, and I'm looking for a good life drawing class. I've only been able to find a few, and they seem to be 8-12 week courses that cost quite a lot, so I'm wondering if there are any classes that happen every week, all year round?
I'm also looking to work as a life model. I'm not professionally experienced, though I have posed for individuals in private. Where would be a good place to find work?
Thanking you in advance for your help!

There's a group that meets every Thursday night at Kangaroo Point called the Half Dozen Group. It's not actually a class (but they are supportive and will help if requested). I sit for them a couple of Thursdays a month. They are always looking for new models and new artists.
Email me if you'd like more info casablancaa@hotmail.com

Hi Olivia,
There are weekly untutored classes from 6.30 to 9.30 at the BIA at Windsor. Only $10
Tuesday nights there are untutored classes at the Art Factory South Brisbane. You can get the details on the Circle Gallery Site. Also $10
There are also classes run by the Sculptors Society in the old Brisbane Museum. I think they run Thursday nights, but also some time in the week during the day. Just check the details on the QLD Sculpture Society site.
These are all untutored, but are very good practice and cheap, pay as you go. Many people are willing to share during short breaks if you have any questions.
Pop into oxlades as they may list any classes that might be available.
Best of Luck.

Hi Olivia!
It's been a while since this post, but just in case you're still looking....
I've started a life drawing group in Wynnum. It will be a casual group running all year - so no need to pay for a term upfront.
Full details are here:
http://www.artforum.com.au/vtopic14909.html
I've found it impossible to find a group that is easy for me to get to in the evenings from the southside - so i thought i might as well set up my own! I work in the city but travel by train - too hard to travel into work with my preferred life drawing kit and not enough time to get home on the train and then back to a class Wynnum Manly Arts Council is assisting with the set-up and promotion of this group. Please help to spread the word!
