hi, another printmaker to add to the list, have been printing on and off for last 20 years, spent many years learning the technicalities, now i just love the experimentation and randomness off outcomes when least expected, would dearly love an etching press but with a family etc... never seems to be a few thhousand lying around to just go and purchase one, work with intaglio, wood/lino blocks, collagraphs, monoprints, drypoint,at the moment giving the printstudio a bit of a break and exploring painting, which ive also done for about 20 years, but never really explored & played with the medium that much, ( moving into encaustic now...) up , anyway would be great to hear from fellow printmakers..... |

Hi, just joined
My names Riven and I've recently started Printmaking in the Fine Arts cert 3 course I'm doing through the Great Lakes North Cost TAFE Institute, and I absolutely love it.
I've done a couple of woodblock plates, and a lino plate, but I've found that I really like making printing plates out of mat board and doing intaglio style prints. I'm really not looking forward to christmas break because I'll have to wait for cert 4 to start and then it'll be another few months before I get to do printmaking again unfortunately T.T
Anyway, I also love oil painting, drawing, photography and sculpture ^^ |
