These porographic and spam posts are an ongoing problem.
I don't understand why admin won't delete them.
They are ridiculous and degrading.
Some forum members have children and even a three year old can use a mouse.
I am a moderator on another forum and take great pleasure deleting this garbage.
It seems to be the only way around it.
Admin hasn't responded to any of the questions regarding these unwanted posts and I'm sure that I am not the only one who is bewildered.
Plese lets get rid of this garbage asap.

Hi,

Sorry, trying to get rid of them as soon as I see them, the forum only has 3 administrators and we don't always see the spam immediately. It's very annoying...

Brad, a great tip is to set posting minimums and restrictions for newbies.
A newbie has to make a minimum number of text only posts, no images or links, before they are able to post any images or links to other sites.
Setting it at only 2 to 5 posts is enough to discourage just about all spammers.
I've seen it applied before, and it works very well.
The forum is getting spammed pretty badly lately, and it's enough to send folks elsewhere for better content.

The answer is very simple.

It's because YOU, yes YOU, the forum member reading this, hasn't volunteered to be a moderator and taken the responsibility for deleting the threads, banning the users, emails, and IP's.

Of course, you might think that that's a lot of work for you to do, you've got more important things to do...

However thankfully moderators are paid $100,000/yr, provided a free new car of your choice every year, plus free first class air travel, accommodations, and all expenses to any major art exhibit anywhere in the world. (Yeah, right! ;o) )

FWIW,

Hi Brad,
I just wanted to say I think you're doing a great job giving up your spare time to bring us this forum. Spamming is on the increase everywhere, not just this forum and I expect it is very frustrating trying to keep it under control - certainly a lot more frustrating than it is for us who can choose to ignore it.

For what it's worth I know what it means...

AND, while we're at it Brad, how come the forum clock is two hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time? Are you running this from NZ now?

Oops, half the error was mine - had my profile set to GMT+11 instead of +10 for British DST. But it's still an hour ahead.

Yes thank you Brad for your good work.

I'm pretty good at ignoring most of that stuff but sometimes it's hard to do that when the title isn't all to clear for me... but I'm getting better at this and my instincts telling me now to avoid certain titles/authors.

I don't mind nice good looking love making pictures when there are done with taste.
