Just bought a necklace from a person who makes jewellery out of Dichroic Glass. Its great stuff. Very unique and arty. It will break if droped, cos its glass. But I love it because its unusal. The woman used sheets of broken coloured glass, and fires it in the kiln, resulting with the jewellery. Not too sure specifically of the process. Im sure she is not the only one who makes this jewellery using this process. But ive never seen it before and fell in love with it.

Here are some websites to give you an idea:

http://www.glassorchids.com/

http://www.lacyglass.com/

I must be the only one who hasnt heard of it. Because there are lots of websites.

Dichroic is very very cool. It can withstand firing too, so thats handy for things like Art clay and mounting in pendants etc.
