Hi everyone I'm new to the board, and am hoping for some help I've recently been looking into scientific drawing as a career move I know I would enjoy it, but I can't seem to find any illustration courses that could help me improve my sketches other than nmit's two year course and as I've just spent four years at university I don't really want to go into full time study again for awhile.
Any advice? Especially from anyone already in the field.

Hi Brigitta, Are you talking about botanical art?
I have a friend who is an award winning botanical artist, but she basically taught herself.
I can email you her website if you are interested.

Hi Brigitta, There are botanical art classes in the Royal Melbourne Botanical Gardens , http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/support_us/RBG_support_groups/ friends_melbourne/Botanical_Illustrators
Celia Rosser is the Banksia lady , if you join the art classes you might get to meet her .
