Improve your art making skills
Why not consider some further art education? Participating in an art class, a short art course or completing a 2 year degree obviously depends on your time but can be equally rewarding. It will open your mind to new art-making possibilities and allow you to interact and network with other artists - live, sleep and breathe more art.
You can always learn something new and when it comes to art education there are so many options to suit your skill level and available time, here are some of them:
- Join one of Australia's many Art Societies or local art schools to attend Art Workshops & life drawing.
- Many local Community Colleges have quite affordable art classes that are held one evening a week for 8 to 10 weeks per term. Some also have weekend art workshops. Community colleges are a great way to make local art friends.
- Participate in Art Travel Workshops. As they often cover food & accommodation they can be expensive however they allow you to combine a holiday in a fabulous destination with your art making and you'll be helped along by professional tutors.
- Complete a short course at one of the leading Art Colleges in your state. They'll often have 2 week intensive courses that run between terms.
- Quit your day job and complete a year long course at one of Australia's leading fine Art Colleges, such as The College of Fine Arts, The Julian Ashton Art School or The Victorian College of Arts.
- Improve your art business skills do a short course in Communications, Sales, Marketing or Bookkeeping
- Maybe learn Microsoft Excel so you can manage your Artist Mailing List, or do a computer course so you can build yourself an Artist Website
